Beautiful little balls of transparent shiny pink glass - perfect for catching the light and making your ears sparkle. Mounted on medical grade stainless steel posts, these are earrings you'll love to wear every day.
Measurements
Glass balls are approximately 7-8mm in diameter - as each earring is handmade they vary slightly, but you'll always get a matching pair.
The glass balls are melted onto stainless steel post and the earrings have butterfly backs.
What are the earrings made from?
The balls are made from soda lime (soft) glass. The earrings are medical grade stainless steel.
How are these earrings made?
We start by making the balls on the ends of the stainless steel posts. This fixes the glass securely without the need for drilling or glue. The earrings are then annealed to ensure strength and durability before being cleaned and packed.
Photos
Glass is always interesting to photograph, and transparent glass looks very different on various backgrounds. Photos show the glass on several backgrounds - it's the same pair of earrings in each photo with the same camera settings so you can see how the glass colours shift. It's one of the things I love most about glass.
The last two earring images show both shiny and frosted earrings in the same colour.
