Earrings made with little balls of frosted transparent mid blue glass which hang from stainless steel hooks. The hooks are medical grade stainless steel, making these ideal for everyday wear. The earrings come with silicone backs to ensure your earrings stay securely in place.
The frosted finish gives a sea glass like effect - making these earrings a charming reminder of a blissful day at the beach.
Measurements
Glass balls are approximately 7-8mm in diameter - as each earring is handmade they vary slightly, but you'll always get a matching pair.
The glass balls are melted onto stainless steel bails.
Hooks are 18.5 x 0.8mm
What are the earrings made from?
The balls are made from soda lime (soft) glass. The earrings are medical grade stainless steel.
How are these earrings made?
We start by making the balls of glass on stainless steel bails (a little loop and peg). This fuses the glass securely without the need for drilling or glue. The glass is then annealed to ensure strength and durability. The frosted finish is created by tumbling the glass in a rock tumbler with sand, grit and water. Finally the glass drops are cleaned, added to hook earrings and packed.
