A charm made from orange frosted glass decorated with a shell imprint hangs from two silver jump rings, making a necklace you'll enjoy wearing every day. Inspired by time spent on the beach, the glass charm has a sea glass like finish.

The charm is made with transparent orange glass and decorated with an imprint inspired by the texture of scallop shells on both sides. When the charm is tumble etched the glass develops a frosted finish and the shell lines stay shiny.


Measurements

The charm measures approximately 15mm long and wide, including the small hanging loop. It is 3mm deep. The charm hangs on a 10mm jump ring which hangs on a 5mm jump ring. The whole pendant is 25mm long. A 45cm (18 inch) sterling silver trace chain passes through the smaller jump ring. The chain closes with a bolt ring clasp which fastens through a jump ring.

How is this necklace made?

Creating this piece starts with making the glass charm on a small stainless steel loop. The charm is then tumble etched to give a frosted, sea glass like finish.

What is the necklace made from?

The charm is made from soda lime glass. 

The small loop fused to the glass is stainless steel.

Both jump rings and the chain are made from recycled sterling silver.

Is it sea glass?

While my jewellery may look like sea glass, each piece is made using lampwork glass techniques. I fuse glass directly onto stainless steel hooks as I create each charm — no drilling, no gluing. The glass is then tumble-etched with grit and sand to achieve a frosted, sea glass-inspired finish. This process ensures the glass is securely attached, even after hours in a rock tumbler.

Designed to be both beautiful and durable, my jewellery is made to be enjoyed for years to come. Working this way allows me to craft unique colours and textures that capture the essence of sea glass while offering something truly one-of-a-kind.

  • Care For Your Jewellery

    The best way to care for silver is to keep it in airtight packaging such as the tin it comes in when it’s not being worn. If it does tarnish (which is completely normal) it can be cleaned with a silver polishing cloth. Glass can be cleaned with soap and water and polished with a soft cloth.
